Statement

My paintings are reflections of impressions of places I’ve experienced. The original concepts are reduced to the essential elements which convey a sense of place and time. The images are represented in strong composition and abstractions of color selected to express the feelings evoked from those places.

My style varies from abstract to realistic and covers a wide range of subject matter. The influence of my architectural background is always present. The acrylic medium allows for more fanciful interpretations of the subject matter. One of the great joys of painting is to have my work evoke some emotion, a memory of time, a place, or a celebration of color.
